Wash Aways are water-soluble films to stabilize fine, transparent fabrics, terrycloth, knitwear or velvet. Water-soluble supports are also suitable for lace embroidery, giving the embroidery a sharp look.
They are called "Wash Away", because the stabilizer after embroidery is put in cold or hot water and is simply washed off.

Water-soluble stabilizer. Ideal for embroidery on light, delicate or transparent fabrics.
Ideally suited for lace embroidery, monogramming embroidery, Richelieu stitch embroidery and quilting.
Instructions for use of AVALON PLUS:
AVALON PLUS is a very resistant and water-soluble film, which can be placed under or above the fabric as a reinforcement. AVALON PLUS can also be embroidered without fabric.
Free-motion machine embroidery: Attach one or two layers of AVALON PLUS to the embroidery hoop and draw a motif of your choice with an evanescent marker (e.g. MADEIRA MAGIC PEN, Art. 9470) directly on the AVALON PLUS. Then first embroider the outline of the motif 2 times freehand.
Then embroider the motif with a weft or with small circular movements, in this regard the stitches must always be joined together, so that the motif does not come off after rinsing the stabilizer. Now embroider the motif as desired with straight or zigzag stitches. When you have finished working, remove the AVALON PLUS with the embroidery from the hoop. Cut off the stabilizer and remove any residue with water. Place the embroidery between two layers of fabric and dry iron.
Embroidery on light fabrics and terry fabrics: lay the fabric between two layers of AVALON PLUS (Fabric/Thread/Fiber Collage) and fix all 3 layers together in the embroidery hoop. After embroidering, trim off the excess stabilizer and remove with
water residues.
Richelieu embroidery: place the fabric on a layer of AVALON PLUS and secure by sewing the marked holes with a few straight stitches. Cut out the fabric inside the holes with embroidery scissors without cutting the stabilizer. Then embroider the edge of the embroidery with zigzag stitches. Rinse AVALON PLUS now.
Important: Always store the AVALON PLUS in the guard tightly closed. This will protect your film from dirt, moisture and heat.
