Recommended uses:
Use as an overlay to prevent pile or fabric from sticking through stitches, uneven surfaces, and coarsely weaved fabrics, preventing stitches from sinking in. For the substate, use this film for drawings with infill areas, monograms, applications. Do not use for lace designs or for small or tiny open canvases.
Guidelines:
- For the overlayment, place the item on top as it locks. Or, lock the fabric and add the overlay. Use the machine's built-in embroidery basting stitch (if available on the machine) to hold it in place.
- For the substate: Place on the wrong side of the fabric. Block as one piece.
- When finished, tear off as much as possible, with a dry hand, iron with a low or medium temperature iron back and forth over the film, which will dissipate into small particles that can be wiped out. Direct contact with the surface of the iron is required to make the film disappear completely. For this reason, it is not recommended for small or tiny open areas where the surface or tip of the iron cannot touch.
- Never use a hot iron!
