The bernette 48 is the top model of the Funlock series and is a combination of serger and coverstitch machine. It boasts a total of 23 stitches: 15 serger stitches, 3 cover stitches, 4 combo stitches and 1 chain stitch, serger stitches with a stitch width of up to 7 mm, cover stitches with stitch widths of 2.8 or 5.6 mm, and combo stitches with a stitch width of up to 10 mm. Color-coded thread paths make threading easier, and the supplied hand threader makes threading needles easy. The lower looper and the chain looper have a mechanical threader. The knife is operated from underneath, ensuring not only a clean cut, but also safe handling and easy one-handed adjustment. The bright LED light ensures good illumination of the sewing and threading area. The bernette Funlock 48 works at a speed of up to 1300 stitches per minute.

Threading made easy

Threading is very easy if you follow the color-coded threading routes of the bernette Funlock 48. Threading is also facilitated by a separate needle threader and a looper threading mechanism.

With its 87 mm of work area, the bernette Funlock 48 provides plenty of space for larger sewing projects. Another function is the bright LED light, which ensures good illumination of the area under the needle.
