Pfaff 821367096 Elastic foot

The elastic foot guides and stretches a tight elastic as you sew it onto the fabric. It is ideal for sewing sportswear, underwear and other elastic inserts.

• Set the sewing machine for overcasting to the desired stitch.
• Loosen the screw in front of the elastic foot to reduce tension on the roller. Insert the elastic band into the presser foot.
• Hook the presser foot and pull the elastic until it is behind the presser foot.
• Tighten the tension screw to stretch the elastic.
• Turn the handwheel over to sew the first stitches and secure the elastic.
• Place the fabric under the presser foot and sew the elastic and fabric together.
• Check the seam and adjust the tension if necessary.

Note: To adjust the elongation of the elastic:

• Turn the tension screw to the right for more stretch.
• Turn the screw to the left for less stretch.
• Be careful not to stretch the fabric when sewing
