The blind hem foot is perfect for sewing invisible hems. The hem is sewn, covered and finished easily in one step.
The blind hem foot is perfect for sewing invisible hems. The hem is sewn, covered and finished easily in one step.
- Set the sewing machine for overcasting to the desired stitch.
- Clip the presser foot.
- Fold and press the hem into place. Turn the hem over to the right side of the fabric. Leave 6 mm (1/4") of edge exposed.
- Place the hem under the presser foot with the crease against the presser foot guide.
- Loosen the guide screw to adjust the guide so that the needle only catches the crease thread.
- Guide the fabric as you sew, making sure that the crease of the fabric is always against the guide.
- Open the fabric and press lightly on the wrong side.
- Test on a scrap scrap fabric before you start sewing on your work.
