Husqvarna Viking 920634096 Cover stitch hem attachment

The Cover Point Hem Attachment is used to turn under 25 mm (1 inch) of fabric, creating a perfectly straight hem without needing much pressure.

Recommended fabric: fabrics (light and medium) and elastic fabrics (light and medium).

• Set the machine for wide, narrow, or triple cover stitch with 3.0 stitch length. Place the fixing plate on the machine. Place the two screws into the opening and screw the fixing plate into place.
• Place the hem on the fixing plate and adjust the hem to the far right. Secure the hem in place with the two thumbscrews and washers.
• Fold under a 25mm hem of fabric and press the first thumbs into place with your fingers.
• Slide the fabric right side up into the hem from the right side so that the hem gathers below the hairline.
• Lift the presser foot and pull the fabric under the presser foot and go back 2-3 cm behind the needle. Lower the presser foot and rotate the handwheel to perform a few stitches to secure the seam in the fabric.
• Sew a few stitches to see if the cover stitch is in the desired position. To change the stitch position, loosen the thumbscrews and move the hem to the left to reach the desired needle position. Try sewing a sample before sewing your project.
• Hold the fabric turned underneath when inserting into the accessory to ensure that the fabric rolls underneath during sewing.

Tips and tricks:

• If you have a free arm on your machine, it will be even easier to sew a continuous/circular hem
• Increase the stitch length up to 4.0 if you have a heavier fabric or when going through a seam.
