The elastic foot guides and stretches the tight elastic as you sew it to the fabric. It is ideal for sewing sportswear, lingerie and other elastic insert techniques.

• Adjust the overlock machine to work with the desired stitch.
• Loosen the screw on the front of the spring foot to decrease the tension on the roller.
• Insert the elastic band into your foot.
• Lace your foot and pull the elastic until it reaches behind your foot.
• Tighten the tension screw to stretch the elastic.
• Rotate the handwheel to sew the first stitches to secure the elastic.
• Place the fabric under the presser foot and sew the elastic and fabric together.
• Check the stitch and adjust the tension if necessary.

Note: To adjust the elasticity:

• Turn the tension screw clockwise to extend.
• Turn the screw counterclockwise to loosen.
• Be careful not to stretch the fabric when sewing.
