Sewing a decorative scalloped hem is easy with the Wavy Edge Thread Presser Foot. A curved, gently gathered hem is the perfect finishing for wedding veils, figure skating costumes, ballet skirts, objets d'art, and more.

Note: For best results, use elastic fabrics. With non-elastic fabrics, cut diagonally.

1. Prepare the machine to make a three-thread rolled hem.
2. Engage the presser foot with a wavy edge flush.
3. Insert 0.3 mm nylon fishing line (or similar) into the opening of the presser foot. The fishing line will be covered by the rolled hem.
4. Start sewing slowly. Make sure that when sewing the fishing line is hidden in the rolled hem.

Tip: Rayon 40 embroidery threads in contrasting colors placed in the upper and lower spools will give you a colorful hem.
