Special features of the skin needle
The LL cutting tip (left cut leather tip) with its cutting capacity allows the needle to easily penetrate the skin and similar homogeneous materials. It also creates stitches in an inclined position that give the seam a decorative look.
Attention: Due to their cutting ability, leather needles are NOT suitable for fabrics since the threads of the fabric or mesh can be cut while sewing.
Choose stitches of a longer length to prevent the seam from breaking. Make sure that the sewing thread is not cut when closing the seam.
A suggestion
The longer the stitches, the more noticeable will be their inclination and therefore the decorative effect of the seam. This effect can be even more noticeable if you use a thick wire.
