Create pretty bobbin work, also called purl decorative stitch embroidery, with the special bobbin capsule from HUSQVARNA VIKING.

1. Lower the feed dogs, remove the seam plate and replace the standard bobbin capsule with the special capsule. Insert the plate back into place and lift the feed dogs.
2. Depending on the decorative thread used for the project, you can use the special bobbin capsule in different ways.

For heavy or special yarns:

Slowly wind the bobbin with the decorative thread while keeping the HUSQVARNA VIKING logo on the outside. Place the coil in the special capsule with the HUSQVARNA VIKING logo facing upwards. To achieve a lighter result, use thin special yarns and adjust the bobbin tension screw as necessary, so that the thread is pulled evenly.
Place the bobbin and pull the special thread into the thread tensioner.

For heavier yarns and processed special threads:

Evenly hand wind the bobbin clockwise. Thread take-over: For more worked projects, do not pull the heavy yarn into the thread take-up or thread cutter, but insert it directly into the pass slot. Insert the coil into its special capsule. To bring the bobbin thread upwards, grasp the upper thread and turn the handwheel one turn toward you.

3. For both techniques, thread the needle with normal thread. Use a needle of the recommended size for the fabric.
4. Place the right side of the fabric face down and over the hook and loop stabilizer. Select the points with the lowest density. Sew nearby with straight stitch, zigzag stitch and other decorative stitches.
Stretch the stitches for best results. Choose low speed and even speed stitches for best results. If necessary, increase the tension at the top slightly. Before sewing the project, test on a piece of fabric until you get the desired settings.

Tip: The heavier the thread, the longer the stitch should be. Choose a spot that doesn't go back and forth on itself.
