Husqvarna Viking 413097145 Transparent drawstring foot

Apply the drawstring between seams and edges for a custom finish. To get a special drawstring wrap it in a fabric you like. Since the foot is transparent, you can always see the position of the drawstring and where you are sewing. In addition, you can see the first row of stitches and move the sewing needle next to the original row. Straight stitch, length 2.5.

1. Insert the transparent drawstring foot.
2. Cut strips on the bias or crossbars wide enough to cover the drawstring, adding the seam margins.
3. Place the drawstring on the reverse side of the fabric strip and wrap the fabric around the drawstring.
4. Place fabric and drawstring under the transparent drawstring foot, with the drawstring in the groove at the bottom of the foot.
5. Sew. The groove guides the drawstring so that the fabric covers it evenly.

Tip: To apply the drawstring to a project, bring the needle of a snap closer to the drawstring to cover the first seam.

To apply the drawstring on a seam:

1. Insert the transparent drawstring foot.
2. Place the drawstring along the seam on the straight of the fabric and sew keeping the drawstring in the groove of the foot.
3. Place over the second piece of fabric straight against straight.
4. Place the layers of fabric and drawstring under the drawstring foot, with the drawstring in the groove at the bottom of the foot. Sew. The groove at the bottom of the foot guides the drawstring as you sew. (Tip: Make notches in the seam edge of the drawstring along the curves and corners.)
