Spanish decoration is suitable for all projects. It is used to join two finished edges. It is ideal for applying a border to skirts or curtains or assembling fabrics to make a tablecloth, for example. For the models indicated, the Spanish decoration spacer fits on the normal seam plate.

Make seams with an ornate opening.

1. Iron a 1 cm seam allowance on the edges of the fabric to be sewn.

2. Replace the regular seam plate with the Spanish decoration plate. Apply the white spacer to the front of the seam plate.
Insert the Spanish decoration foot.
Thread the needle with decorative thread and the bobbin with polyester thread of the same color.

3. Align the ironed edge of the workpieces by inserting the spacer on the plate in the middle.
Optional: Place a decorative wire in the spacer groove.
Lower the presser foot.

4. Select a zigzag stitch, three-step zigzag, or decorative stitch.
Adjust the stitch width to 5.0 - 6.0 to make sure the needle reaches the edges of the fabric.
Note: Do not use staples with excessive sideways movement.

5. Sew with the edges gently together in front of the presser foot.
