Chenille effect foot

Decorating with a soft chenille effect has never been easier! For beginners and experienced quilters and sewing.

• Thread the needle and bobbin with sewing thread.
• For the best effect, use at least three 16 mm wide chenille strips. Place the strips in the presser foot. (You can also use narrower strips e.g. 10 mm)
• Insert the chenille foot .
• Place the fabric to be decorated under the presser foot and strips
• Select the zigzag or zigzag stitch three steps. Select Reduced Stitch Length and Stitch Width 1.5 - 2.
• Sew slowly. The presser foot will guide the stripes onto the fabric to be decorated. For added stability, place the Madeira Tear Away Cotton Soft Tear Away Stabilizer under the fabric.
• Sew the strips needed to complete the project.
• Wash the project cold and tumble dry it.

Alternative method: spray with water, scrub with a brush and hard bristles to fray the strips and blow dry.
