Spring foot for free-motion sewing

The Spring Foot for Free-Motion Sewing ensures excellent visibility when quilting or free-motion embroidery. The open front allows you to quilt or follow a design on the fabric with ease. The spring prevents the fabric from lifting together with the ao during sewing, so it prevents the breakage of special or more robust threads. It is always necessary to use the needle suitable for the type of thread selected.

For the Sapphire Series, select the spring function for free-motion sewing in the "Set" menu.

For the Designer Series, select the Q sensor foot in the "Set" menu.

  1. Remove the shank and insert the spring foot for free-motion sewing.
  2. Pull up the bobbin thread by sewing a stitch .
  3. Lower the presser foot .
  4. Quilt the fabric or make a free-motion embroidery by moving the fabric as desired. Move the fabric in smooth motions, moving faster as the sewing machine speed increases.

You can determine the stitch length by moving the fabric.
