Husqvarna Viking 920566096 1/4-inch adjustable foot with IDF rail

The adjustable 1/4-inch presser foot with guide is designed to help you achieve a 1/4-inch (6 mm) or poor 1/4-inch (less than 6 mm) seam when piecing.

The needle hole in the presser foot is oval in shape and allows you to adjust the needle position. The distance between the center position of the needle and the guide is 1/4 inch (6 mm).

• Attach the adjustable 1/4-inch presser foot with rail.*
• 2. Select a straight stitch.

1. 1/4 inch (6mm) seam available; Select a centered needle position.
2. A sparse 1/4-inch seam available; Adjust the needle position one or two positions to the right.

• 3. Place the pieces of fabric right sides facing under the presser foot, aligning the edges of fabric with the guide on the presser foot.
• Sew the fabric pieces together by guiding the fabric so that the edges touch the guide.
• Iron the seam allowance.

Note: Depending on the weight of the fabric and thread, you may need to adjust the needle position to achieve the desired seam allowance. Move the needle to the right to decrease the seam allowance and to the left to increase it. You can safely move the needle three positions in
both directions, but no more.

* Do not use the straight stitch plate when using the adjustable 1/4-inch presser foot with guide.

• Insert the 1/4-inch adjustable presser foot with rail.
• Select a straight stitch, a triple straight stitch, or the fake hand quilted stitch. If necessary, adjust the needle position as desired.
• Place the project under the presser foot so that the guide on the presser foot runs into the seam slot or along the edge of the fabric. Sew.

Note: The red markings on the adjustable 1/4-inch presser foot with guide help you align the fabric when you start sewing, at the corners and at the end of the fabric.
