Husqvarna Viking 920403096 Drawstring Presser Foot Kit

The Cording Presser Foot Kit allows Husqvarna Viking to easily apply the cording while sewing. Embellishment is created during sewing using stitches specially designed for this presser foot along with the cord.

The embellishment effect can be significantly modified by using different types of cords.

The presser foot is designed to be used with specially designed stitches.

Note: Only special points can be used. The cording foot is equipped with an adjustment wheel. The thumbwheel is used to adjust the red line to match the center position of the needle on the presser foot.

When the needle is centered on the red line, the presser foot is more likely to pick up more cord.

Preparing the machine for the application of the drawstring

• Thread the machine with a yarn matching the decorative cord or use a transparent yarn.
• Fit the lanyard guides to the machine in the recesses under the handle, on the rear side of the machine.
• Unroll the ball of yarn as needed and arrange the cord. Check that the thread unwinds continuously to prevent it from overexerting.
• Insert the lanyard into the guides provided. It is very important that the cord unwinds smoothly while sewing.
• From above, thread the cord into the hole in the presser foot, using the needle threader. It is recommended to use a cord of uniform thickness.
• For best results, the cord inserted into the hole in the foot should slide smoothly.
• Engage the presser foot in the machine.
• Select the stitch you want to sew. Before you start sewing, use the hand wheel to check that the red line on the presser foot matches the needle.

Tips: Draw a line on the fabric with the appropriate marker, to make the work easier.

Note: Some cords will work better than others. Cords with a wide structure will often give the best results.
