The interchangeable walking foot with the interchangeable walking foot with guide, is designed to handle layers of fabric and/or wadding evenly. It is perfect for quilting, velvet sewing, some stretch fabrics, imitation leather and fabrics that need a careful connection of patterns. Use the interchangeable 1/4" guide foot with the straight stitch and the quilting stitches by hand. The guide will help you keep 1/4" (6mm) at a distance.

1. If you have not already attached the Walking Foot for your machine, do so before attaching this foot:

• Remove the presser foot shank by unscrewing the shank screw.
• Place the walking foot on your machine from the back, placing the fork on the needle retaining screw. Screw the walking foot onto the foot bar with the foot shank screw.
• With the presser foot bar in the up position, place the presser foot under the walking foot.

2. Push the presser foot up so that it engages.

3. Since this presser foot has a small opening for better stitch formation, you can only use the straight stitch with the needle in the middle position or the hand quilting stitch.
4. To begin sewing on the edge of the fabric, insert the fabric under the presser foot, aligning the edges with the guide on the presser foot.
5. Start sewing, keeping the edges aligned with the guide.

Quilting:

6. The red markings on the presser foot will help you align the fabric at the beginning of the sewing, in the corners, and at the end of your fabric.
7. Sew with the guide into the blanket seam. When you come to a corner, stop when the 1/4" red marking on the foot reaches the seam line.
8. With the needle in the fabric, turn over and continue sewing.
