This presser foot is used for stretchy fabrics (such as knitted fabrics), difficult-to-carry fabrics, materials (such as vinyl-coated fabric), and unevenly fed material (such as quilting or fabric with pile).

This presser foot features a top feed dog that works in conjunction with the sewing machine's feed dog to feed the material to avoid clumped seams and uneven feeding. When used in conjunction with the quilted guide, this foot is also useful for quilting so that the seams are evenly spaced.
