Pfaff 820926096 Quilt Foot 6 mm Pfaff with IDT system

A quilt (i.e. a quilt) is made up of two layers of fabric, the top and the bottom, with a layer of padding in the middle. To form the top of the quilt, various pieces of fabric can be joined together to form different patterns. The 6 mm quilt foot is particularly suitable for joining quilt fabric pieces.
Quilt Foot 6 mm Pfaff
A quilt (i.e. a quilt) is made up of two layers of fabric, the top and the bottom, with a layer of padding in the middle. To form the top of the quilt, various pieces of fabric can be joined together to form different patterns. The 6 mm quilt foot is particularly suitable for joining quilt fabric pieces. The distance between the needle and the outer edge of the presser foot is 6 mm, and the distance between the needle and the inner edge of the presser foot is 3 mm.
Utilization
Straight stitch stitching
1. Insert the 6 mm quilting foot.
2. Engage the IDT if present on your sewing machine. Sew the fabric pieces with the straight stitch. When using the 6 mm seam allowance, guide the fabric along the outer edge of the presser foot. When you want a 3 mm margin, use the inside edge of the presser foot.

Quilting with "hand" effect:
1. Insert the 6 mm quilting foot. Use an invisible thread on top and in the bobbin use a regular sewing thread of the color you want to achieve the "hand" effect seam. Use triple straight stitch. Upper thread setting: 7 - 9.
2. Loosen the coil tension: rotate about 1/4. We recommend the use of a second shuttle. When you want to sew on the layers of a quilt, only the triple stitch of the bobbin thread is visible. The midstitch disappears (because it is made with invisible thread) thus giving the seam the appearance of those sewn by hand. Adjust the upper thread tension just enough to achieve the desired effect.
