With this presser foot you can carefully sew ribs with a spacing of 5 or 11 mm. The same presser foot allows you to sew decorative stitches up to 6 mm or 9 mm wide between the ribs.
Utilization
Ribs:
- Insert the rib foot with decorative stitch guide. The foot can be attached with the guide pointing left or right.
- Insert a double needle.
- Thread the double needle and sew the first rib.
- Place the first rib under the groove of the rail. Sew a second rib that will automatically result at the right distance to allow you to sew a decorative stitch in the space between the two ribs.
- Sew the other ribs.
Stitch: Straight Stitch Stitch Length: 2.5 Tension: 3 - 5
Decorative Stitch:
- Replace the double needle with a regular sewing needle.
- Set the thread tension to 3.
- Put a stabilizer under the work area.
- The central part of the foot has guides inside which you have to insert two ribs.
Sew your decorative stitch in this space. If you want, you can add another stabilizer under the decorative seam.
