Perfect for appliqués and other seams that need a wide view of where the needle fits into the fabric. With this foot you can get beautiful applications quickly and easily. To achieve a hand-stitching effect you can select a shell stitch.
Utilization:
- Cut the pieces without seam allowance. If the fabric frays, with the help of a mask, iron the edge turned down.
- On the drawing iron a stabilizer with the back side of paper. Remove the layer of paper and iron the fabric to be applied to the base fabric.
- Insert the appliqué foot open and engage the IDTTM (if available on your sewing machine).
- Select a stitch and guide the edge of the design you want to apply along the inside edge on the right side of the presser foot to achieve a smooth seam along the edge (use the mirror image function if necessary). This hides the straight stitch in the seam to achieve a hand-stitching effect.
Point: Zig Zag, a hand effect stitch or a appliqué stitch

(For F&G do not use stitches wider than 6 mm).
