Pfaff 821063096 PERFECT foot with 1/4" guide

The perfect 1/4" (6mm) presser foot is designed to help you achieve a 1/4" (6mm) or poor 1/4" (<6mm) seam when mounting. The needle hole in the presser foot is oval in shape that allows you to adjust the needle position. The distance between the center needle position and the guide is less than 1/4" (6 mm).

- Hook the perfect 1/4 foot. *
- Turn on the IDT.
- Select a straight stitch.

- Place the pieces of fabric on the right sides together under the presser foot, aligning the edges of the fabric with the guide on the presser foot. d position of the needle or a step to the right.
- Sew the fabric pieces together by guiding the fabric so that the edges touch the guide.
- Press the seam allowance and measure the block.
Note: Depending on the weight of the fabric and thread, you may need to adjust the needle position to achieve the desired seam allowance. Move the needle to the right to decrease the seam allowance and to the left to increase it. You can safely move the needle three steps in either direction, but no more.
* Do not use the straight stitch plate when using the perfect 1/4" presser foot.
Stitching:
The Perfect 1/4" foot is also wonderful for topstitching.
Adjust the needle position and use the guide to place the seams exactly where you want them on your blocks, garments or furniture projects.
- Clip on the perfect 1/4" presser foot.
- Turn on the IDT.
- Select a straight stitch, a triple straight stitch, or a fake hand quilted stitch. Adjust the needle position as desired, if necessary.
- Place the project under the presser foot so that the guide on the presser foot runs into the seam moat or along the edge of the fabric. Sew.
Note: The red markings on the perfect 1/4" presser foot allow you to align the fabric when you start sewing, at the corners and at the end of the fabric.
For all machines with a manual foot lift: When using one of the optional quilting feet with guides and sewing with the needle set to stop in the down position, it is recommended that you raise the foot only as high as necessary for rotation. Lifting the presser foot to a very high position may cause the needle holder to touch the guide on the presser foot. The presser foot may shift, causing damage to the needle and/or foot.
