Pfaff 820988096 Open foot for free-motion sewing

The open free-motion presser foot is excellent for free-motion sewing and embroidery. The presser foot has a large front opening to allow you the best view of free-motion sewing and quilting.

The Sensormatic free-motion open-toe foot is used for topstitching and free-motion embroidery. This foot allows for greater visibility as the front opening provides an optimal view of the free-motion seams and quilting.

The open toe and transparency of the presser foot with vertical and horizontal notches allows you to easily topstitch or follow a pattern on the fabric.
This presser foot is great for free-motion sewing and quilting. It has a large front opening that provides a great view while sewing.

Utilization:

• Disengages the IDT (Integrated Double Feed, original Pfaff ).
• Carefully loosen the small silver screw behind the foot until the cross-shaped hole is accessible.
• Hold the foot with your fingers and guide the foot pin into the cross-shaped hole of the foot holder, all the way down. Check that the clear arm is beyond the needle clamp.
• Tighten the silver screw.
• Lower the presser foot to the free-motion sewing/darning position by selecting the free-motion sewing icon on the touch screen of your sewing machine, or manually by setting the presser foot lifter to the free-motion sewing position.
• Lower the feed dogs.
• Select a straight stitch or a zigzag stitch.
• Maintain a regular speed and move the fabric manually.

Remember that you need to move the fabric manually because the feed dogs are down.
To obtain regular stitches, the fabric must be moved in a regular and constant manner.
Also, move so that the dots don't overlap.
